Since first being elected in 2018, Reid has worked diligently to represent the interests of all Ward 3 residents. He has many achievements to his credit, both in Ward 3 and in Markham more broadly. These include the reconstruction of the Main Street Unionville Streetscape, beginning in the fall of 2022; driving forward the Markham Centre Secondary Plan; winter pathway plowing; and strong support for the City’s new affordable housing strategy.
Other issues on which Reid continues to advocate include a vacant home tax, a lobbyist registry, safe affordable student housing, community safety, road safety, improved bylaw enforcement and property standards, and provincial overreach, to name just a few.
By running for re-election Reid reaffirms his strong interest in building healthy new communities and supporting strong mature ones for all the people of Markham.
